    Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider NP or PA (Hospital-Based)

    About this role:

    As a key member of our cardiovascular team, this Advanced Practice Provider plays an essential role in supporting and overseeing a broad range of cardiovascular diagnostic services. Working in a highly autonomous hospital-based setting, you will provide clinical oversight for Exercise Tolerance Tests (ETTs), Stress Echocardiograms, Cardiac PET studies, and pharmacologic stress testing, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and quality.

    Position Highlights

    • Hospital-based cardiology role located at St. George Regional Hospital
    • Highly autonomous practice environment with significant clinical independence
    • Start your day around 7:00 AM reviewing patient charts and preparing for upcoming appointments
    • Typical daily schedule includes approximately 6 patients, with opportunities to accommodate add-on cases as needed
    • Four 10-hour shifts per week, offering an excellent work-life balance
    • Weekend rotation of approximately 1:4, consisting of Saturdays only, with most shifts concluding by early afternoon

    Qualifications

    We hire people, not words on paper. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

    Required

    • Current, unrestricted Utah Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date
    • Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA-C program
    • Current AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA certification, as applicable
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
    • DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to employment

    Preferred

    • One or more years of cardiology experience as an Advanced Practice Provider

    New Graduate Consideration - We welcome applications from new graduates who have a strong foundation in cardiology, including:

    • Previous cardiac or cardiovascular experience as a Registered Nurse
    • Completion of a cardiology-focused clinical rotation during NP or PA training
    • Demonstrated interest in cardiovascular medicine and commitment to providing exceptional patient care
