About Us: AFC Urgent Care is a fast-paced, patient-centered clinic providing high-quality urgent care services to the Memphis community. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team and help deliver exceptional care to our growing patient population.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide urgent care and primary care services to patients of all ages.
Conduct physical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans.
Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging.
Prescribe medications and educate patients on treatment options.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Maintain compliance with all state and federal healthcare regulations.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Tennessee.
Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred.
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care.
Proficiency in performing minor procedures.
Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple patients efficiently.
Familiarity with urgent care billing procedures and coding practices.
Knowledge of telemedicine services and ability to provide virtual care as needed.
DOT certification or willingness to obtain
