Exeter Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Surgical Services team. This role provides comprehensive surgical care across the continuum, including inpatient rounding, Emergency Department consults, and first-assist responsibilities in the Operating Room. Preserves and promotes good health through education and counselingpatients in positive health behaviors, self‑care, and coping skills. 2.Provides comprehensive care for the well, acutely and chronically ill patients working in collaboration with general andspecialty providers under the supervision of a Physician and in accordance with the regulations of the NH Board ofMedicine. 3.Establishes differential diagnoses: orders and evaluates diagnostic studies; performs and monitors therapeuticprocedures; assesses and/or manages follow‑up plans. 4.Serves as first and second surgical assistant in the Operating Room for patients of the Responsible SupervisingPhysician (RSP) and Alternate Responsible Supervising Physician (ARSP). 5.Conducts routine patient rounds and writes progress notes. 6.Prescribes and regulates medicines in accordance with the regulations of the NH State Board of Pharmacy or the NHState Board of Nursing. 7.Records and documents health appraisal data as necessary to maintain, coordinate and/or expedite requiredservices; and in accordance with Medicare guidelines where appropriate. 8. Maintains and enhances current level of knowledge relative to professional practice, as well as continuing educationrequirements necessary for licensure and certification. 9.Proactively reviews quality and efficiency metrics. Identifies opportunities for improvement and leads the care team inimprovement efforts. Participates in specialty certification efforts. 10.Other duties as assigned. Required: 1-3 years directly related experience Masters degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Current New Hampshire licensure (or eligibility) National certification as an NP (RNFA program and OR hours) or PA with NCCPA BLS certification Eligibility for medical staff appointment and clinical privileges at Exeter Hospital This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected surgical team and make a meaningful impact on patient care across the perioperative continuum.
