The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across DeWitt seeking Advanced Quality Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced quality control plans for new and existing products.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventative action initiatives for complex quality issues.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other analytical tools to monitor and improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and 8D problem-solving.
  • Conduct supplier quality audits and work with suppliers to improve their quality performance.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior quality engineers and manufacturing personnel.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
  • Proficiency in core quality tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D).
  • Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • ASQ certification (e.g., CQE, CSSBB) preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

  • ASQ certifications (CQE, CSSBB, etc.)
  • Experience with AI/ML applications in quality
  • Strong project management skills
  • Familiarity with a specific ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
