Our organization is currently looking for a fellow to join the Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery for a one-year fellowship focused on Facial Plastic Surgery and Advanced Rhinologic Surgery. This position offers a comprehensive academic experience with a strong emphasis on nasal surgery, and we highly encourage participation in mission electives.
The department is staffed by four full-time, fellowship-trained surgeons specializing in Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery, alongside three experts in facial plastic surgery. The fellowship will primarily concentrate on nasal surgery, including high-volume endoscopic sinus procedures, anterior skull base surgeries, and selected reconstructive rhinoplasty cases. Training will also encompass nasal and facial trauma, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience. While there is an opportunity for broad training in both Facial Plastic and Advanced Rhinology, the focus will be on reconstructive cases over cosmetic and clinic-based procedures.
As a fellow, you will collaborate with faculty at our institution, assisting in various surgical cases. You will have the autonomy to select cases, allowing for a tailored and fellow-directed learning experience. Intraoperative teaching of residents is expected, and participation in a multidisciplinary Skull Base Tumor Board is required. Additionally, fellows are encouraged to engage with standardized reading materials to enhance their knowledge.
Compensation and BenefitsThe fellowship offers a competitive salary aligned with PGY-6 levels at our institution, ranging from $90,000 to $104,000, based on experience and faculty rank. This figure represents the base compensation and does not include potential variable compensation or additional productivity bonuses, which will be discussed during the recruitment process.
