Advanced Systems Engineer

M9 Solutions is seeking an Advanced Systems Engineer to work onsite in support of a government contract for a client located in McLeansville, NC. An active Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Identifying, analyzing, and resolving system design weaknesses, developing system security documentation, and providing system accreditation/certification evaluation and test support. 
• Developing and evaluating systems, networks, and information systems to ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specifications. 
• Supporting the generation of technical engineering products throughout the system development life cycle and influencing the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework used across multiple products or systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Design and Qualification of electrical systems.
• Design and Qualification of optical systems.
• Electrical/Optical system design including requirement allocation and decomposition.
• Requirements Lifecycle Management.
• New product development and transition to manufacturing.
• Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards.
• Clear understanding of requirements management and system modeling tools.
• Creative thinker with ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.
• Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development for self and others.
