Currently staff receive additional compensation through a grant up to $1,300 and a $1,000 hiring bonus.PRIMARY FUNCTIONAssists Site Supervisor in developing quality programming and curriculum as well as developing and facilitating effective guidance and support for all children regardless of ability or special needs, before and after school, non-school and vacation days. RELATIONSHIPSReports to: Adventure Club Site Supervisor Supervises: Educational Assistants, interns and volunteers Works with: Children, parents, Adventure club staff, site-based management teams, district 281 staff, youth serving organizations and volunteers RESPONSIBILITIESAssist in the development of quality programming and curriculum implementation in various areas. Including but not limited to: behavior action plans, finding and implementing program accommodations and modifications to address varying abilities and family dynamics.Question inclusivity of programming to ensure successStay up to date with information regarding children of varying abilities and how to serve themmodify behavior plans with appropriate modifications when neededensure the implementation of behavior action & safety plansadminister and keep track of all medications including medication inventorymed bag inventoryindividual child care program plan (ICCPP) creation and updatesSN DemographicsProfessionally and effectively communicate with families with the focus on meeting families where they are at.Other duties as assigned.Accountable for:providing documentation of required annual training.knowledge and following both Adventure Club and District 281 policy and procedures. ? information as defined in the Adventure Club Staff and Parent Handbooks.personal annual goals. CHILDCARE BENEFITMay be eligible for a large discount on childcare in the Adventure Club program if your child attends a Robbinsdale elementary school and is in grades K-5.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSCompleted coursework in elementary education, social work or other child-related field preferred.Experience in and supervising children in a school age care setting.Experience working with children that have special needs.Commitment to multicultural, gender fair and differing ability awareness.Current CPR, First Aid training certificate or within 14 days of hire.Current CPR and First Aid certification. If not, current must be obtained within 1 month of hire.Current CPI certification. If not, current must be obtained within 6 months of hire.Experience in staff supervision, training and curriculum development.Evidence of strong written and oral communication and organizational skills.A working knowledge of developmentally appropriate anti-bias curriculum and the School Age Care Standards for Quality CareDemonstrated competency in conflict resolution,crisis management skills, commitment to multicultural, gender fair and disability awareness.
