Key responsibilities include supporting the Residential Program by building rapport with clients, facilitating recreational and therapeutic activities, and collaborating with DSP staff to document services and progress. Members also lead outreach and resource development by researching and creating Adventure/Ecotherapy-based activities for adults and youth, developing lesson plans and training materials, and summarizing nature-based therapeutic approaches. Additional duties include piloting and teaching activities, ensuring safety, helping develop outdoor play therapy spaces, strengthening community partnerships, supporting life-skill development, documenting client progress, and participating in meetings and professional development.
