Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Technology Architect to lead the strategy, evolution, and governance of a large scale cloud native engineering platform that serves multiple business entities across North America. This role will own the foundational technology stack, platform architecture, developer tooling, infrastructure standards, and DevSecOps capabilities that empower engineering teams to deliver secure and scalable applications.
The ideal candidate combines enterprise architecture expertise with hands on technical leadership. You will define platform standards, drive cloud and infrastructure modernization, establish secure engineering practices, and champion emerging technologies including Generative AI and Agentic AI. Your work will directly influence platform reliability, security, developer experience, operational efficiency, and long term technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Define and maintain enterprise platform architecture standards for cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, containers, APIs, messaging, caching, and application runtimes
Lead the design and evolution of cloud native platforms, infrastructure as code frameworks, GitOps delivery models, and multi environment architectures
Architect reusable developer tooling, software libraries, dependency management frameworks, and engineering accelerators that enable consistent development practices
Establish and enforce DevSecOps standards including vulnerability management, container security, identity management, secrets management, and software supply chain governance
Drive observability, reliability engineering, performance optimization, and cloud cost management strategies across platform services
Evaluate and implement Generative AI and Agentic AI capabilities that improve platform operations, engineering productivity, and automation
Partner with engineering, security, infrastructure, and architecture teams to align platform strategy with enterprise technology objectives
Lead architecture reviews, technology governance initiatives, proof of concepts, and adoption of emerging technologies
Key Requirements
10+ years of experience designing, building, and operating enterprise technology solutions with at least 3 years in Enterprise Architecture, Platform Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Software Architecture roles
Deep expertise in cloud native architecture, Kubernetes, containers, microservices, APIs, event driven architecture, networking, and distributed systems
Strong hands on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Terragrunt, or similar technologies
Experience implementing GitOps delivery models utilizing tools such as Helm, ArgoCD, or comparable platforms
Demonstrated success designing shared engineering platforms, developer tooling, software libraries, SDKs, dependency management frameworks, and platform services
Strong knowledge of DevSecOps practices including SAST, SCA, container security, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, and identity governance
Experience implementing observability solutions utilizing metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, service level objectives, and reliability engineering principles
Expertise with AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or Agentic AI technologies and an understanding of responsible AI governance and risk management
Experience working within Agile, SAFe, or Scrum environments while driving large scale technical initiatives
Excellent communication, leadership, collaboration, strategic planning, and problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
Professional architecture certifications including AWS, Azure, GCP, TOGAF, CKA, CKAD, or Terraform Associate
Experience with Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, Next.js, Python, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and Redis
Hands on experience with observability and DevSecOps tools such as Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, SonarQube, Artifactory, Checkmarx, or Black Duck
Experience with agent based development platforms, AI orchestration frameworks, and modern developer productivity tools
Experience supporting complex enterprise environments with multiple business units, regions, or regulatory requirements
Background within regulated industries such as automotive, financial services, manufacturing, or similar enterprise environments
