Job Title: Advisor, Material Planning
Location: Austin, TX 78753 (Onsite)
Job Type: 6-Month Contract (Potential Extension)

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Planning Advisor to drive demand forecasting, supply continuity, and inventory optimization for assigned product lines. In this role, you will translate customer and financial requirements into actionable supply plans, ensuring seamless coordination across operations, procurement, and supply chain teams.

What You’ll Do:
  • Develop and manage demand forecasts aligned with product roadmaps and market trends
  • Monitor supply-demand balance and proactively mitigate shortages or excess inventory
  • Ensure continuity of supply (COS) and maintain standard lead times
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support product launches and transitions
  • Analyze data to provide insights on lead times, pricing elasticity, and supply risks
  • Drive demand shaping strategies during supply imbalances
  • Maintain accurate documentation of forecast assumptions, including cost, pricing, and lifecycle data

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in material planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain operations
  • Strong understanding of supply-demand planning, inventory management, and lead-time analysis
  • Proficiency in data analysis and Excel
  • Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) and supply chain processes
  • Ability to collaborate across operations, procurement, and product teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in technology or manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with forecasting tools or ERP systems
  • Understanding of price and lead-time elasticity concepts
  • Experience supporting product launches and lifecycle transitions
  • Advanced data analysis or reporting skills
