Status: Part Time Hourly FLSA classification: Non-Exempt

Summary of the Position: Hourly, Part-Time positions working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or challenging behaviors are available. Advocates must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings.

The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families. All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.

This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, and activity reimbursement.

Work Hours: 2pm to 4pm Monday thru Friday

Availability: 10 hours per week

Qualifications/Requirements: High School Diploma or GED is required. Associates or Bachelor's degree is preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be extremely organized. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be professional, flexible, and have the ability to work independently. Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus. Must be available evenings and weekends. Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources. Bilingual (Spanish speaking) is a plus. Requires reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and current auto insurance coverage.
