Overview:

A private household in Hudson Square is seeking a reliable, experienced Part-Time Housekeeper to care for their 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom, 2,100-square-foot apartment. The principal is looking for one consistent person who can take ownership of the home and keep everything clean, organized, and running smoothly.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a trustworthy professional who takes pride in their work and is comfortable working independently. The family places a high value on integrity and attention to detail and is looking for someone they can trust completely in their home without needing to supervise or monitor hours.

 

Schedule:

• Ideally 3–4 visits per week
• Family would ideally have coverage on Saturday and Sunday, plus 1–2 weekday visits
• Weekend mornings will generally start around 10:00–11:00am
• Weekday schedule is flexible
• Predictable schedule can be established
• Guaranteed hours available for the right candidate
• ASAP start

Responsibilities:

• Routine housekeeping and maintaining the apartment to a high standard
• Periodic deep cleaning
• General organization and apartment resets
• Laundry and folding
• Dishes and keeping the kitchen organized
• Maintaining closets and household spaces
• Monitoring household supplies and restocking basic essentials
• Simple grocery shopping and keeping the refrigerator stocked with household staples
• Dry cleaning pickup and drop-off
• Occasional light household errands
• Noticing what needs to be done and taking initiative without requiring direction

Qualifications:

• Comfortable working independently without supervision
• Proactive and able to anticipate household needs
• Flexible and willing to help wherever needed

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in private homes
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Trustworthy, discreet, and dependable

Salary and Benefits:

• $50–$60/hour DOE
• Approximately 15–16 guaranteed hours per week
