POSITION SUMMARY
The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) provides high-quality prehospital medical care within the AEMT scope of practice while supporting safe, timely, and effective patient transport. This role serves as a critical frontline contributor to Superior Mobile Health's emergency response operations, requiring strong clinical judgment, situational awareness, and the ability to perform under pressure in high-risk and dynamic environments. In addition to patient care, the AEMT is responsible for safe emergency vehicle operations, accurate clinical documentation, and adherence to company, regulatory, and safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide emergency medical assessment, treatment, and patient care within the AEMT scope of practice to stabilize patients and support positive clinical outcomes
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls and safely operate emergency vehicles in adherence with company policies and operations standards
- Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize interventions, and adjust care based on evolving patient conditions
- Safely immobilize, transport, and monitor patients during transport while maintaining patient safety
- Utilization of a variety of standard medical equipment, including cardiac monitors and medication pumps
- Coordinate care with EMTs, paramedics, and medical facilities to ensure continuity and quality of patient care
- Complete accurate clinical patient documentation and reports in ePCR system to support medical, legal, and billing requirements.
- Maintain ambulance vehicle cleanliness, readiness, and equipment
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards related to medical care and safety
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- Previous experience as EMT-B
- Previous experience as AEMT preferred but not required
Education
- High school diploma or GED
Certifications/Licenses
- Texas Advanced EMT certification
- BLS certification
- Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record

- Lift/carry up to 150 pounds (300 with assistance)
- Bend, stoop, climb, and crawl across uneven terrain
- Handle high-stress situations with flashing lights, loud noises, extreme temperatures, low light, or confined spaces
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is performed primarily in a field environment and may involve working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting with exposure to adverse conditions including noise and varying temperatures. The role requires shift-based scheduling, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as operational needs require.
