Job Summary:
As the Aerial Foreman, you will be responsible for leading aerial telecommunications construction activities, supervising field employees, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. You will coordinate daily field operations, operate and oversee construction equipment, interpret field prints, and ensure work is completed in accordance with company and customer requirements. As the Aerial Foreman, you will contribute to project success through effective crew leadership, quality execution, safety compliance, and professional customer interactions.
Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
· Supervise field employees and coordinate daily aerial construction activities, including pole transfers, strand building, cable hanging, lashing, and new cable installations.
· Operate bucket trucks, posthole diggers, ladders, lag gaffs, and other handheld tools and equipment to complete construction activities.
· Place telephone poles and anchors and perform construction activities including digging, placing and pulling cable through conduit systems and open excavations.
· Read and interpret field prints and specifications to determine required work and identify and resolve field issues.
· Ensure all installation work meets quality and safety standards while maintaining professionalism when working on or around customer property.
· Maintain responsibility for assigned vehicles and equipment and complete project invoicing in accordance with company standards.
· Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs
Required Qualifications:
Education, Licensing, and Certifications
· Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
Experience
· Previous experience in telecommunications aerial and underground construction.
· Previous experience supervising or managing field employees.
· Experience working from blueprints, field prints, and specifications.
Skills and Abilities
· Ability to efficiently operate and work from a bucket truck and frequently climb utility poles using ladders or climbing equipment.
· Proficiency with manual tools and construction equipment, including shovels, posthole diggers, and other handheld tools.
· Ability to perform physically demanding activities including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
· Ability to travel as required and utilize email and mobile applications to upload project photos.
Preferred Qualifications:
· OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification and/or First Aid certification.
· Spanish-speaking ability.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
· Ability to climb, balance, walk, stoop, bend, and perform physical construction activities for extended periods.
· Work performed outdoors and around utility infrastructure, including working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
· Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
