Job Summary: The Aerial Groundman supports aerial linemen and crew members in the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead telecommunications systems. This entry-level role is responsible for ground operations, material handling, and ensuring a safe and efficient job site while assisting with aerial construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist aerial linemen with the installation of fiber optic and coaxial cables.
Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
Set up and maintain a safe work zone, including traffic control when required.
Operate hand tools and assist with basic construction tasks.
Handle cable placement from the ground and support lashing operations.
Maintain communication with crew members during lifts and aerial work.
Clean and prepare job sites before, during, and after construction.
Perform routine equipment checks and report any issues.
Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior construction or outdoor labor experience is a plus.
Willingness to learn telecommunications construction practices.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Valid driver's license preferred.
Pay is based upon experience
