Aerospace Technical Instructor

Location: Everett, WA
Pay: Up to $32.00 per hour
Schedule: 1st Shift, 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Hours: Approximately 40–43 hours per week
Travel: Up to 25%, approximately one week per month
Travel Reimbursement: Mileage reimbursed
Work Environment: Professional, business casual

We are seeking experienced Aerospace Technical Instructors to support a leading aerospace organization in Everett, Washington. This is an excellent opportunity for aerospace professionals who enjoy sharing their technical knowledge, developing others, and helping employees build critical hands-on skills.

Candidates do not have to come exclusively from a traditional teaching background. We are interested in experienced aerospace professionals with the technical expertise and communication skills necessary to successfully train others. Experience in technical instruction, military training, learning and development, corporate training, mentoring, or hands-on workforce training is highly valuable.

Military veterans with relevant technical experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Instructor Specialties

Candidates may qualify in one or more of the following technical areas:

Electrical Instructor

Provide technical instruction related to aircraft electrical installation, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.

Experience may include:

  • Aircraft electrical installations and assembly

  • Electrical functional testing and troubleshooting

  • Electrical crimping

  • Electrical soldering

  • Basic mechanical skills

  • Reading and interpreting technical instructions and procedures

Aerospace Mechanical Skills Instructor

Train employees on mechanical aircraft assembly, installation, production, and troubleshooting techniques.

Experience may include:

  • Aircraft electrical installations

  • Bonding and grounding

  • Aircraft assembly

  • Heavy structure drilling

  • Aircraft maintenance

  • Blueprint interpretation

  • Production standards

  • Functional testing

  • Aircraft systems operations

  • Aircraft systems familiarization and troubleshooting

Aerospace Seal Instructor

Provide hands-on instruction related to aircraft sealant preparation and application.

Experience should include:

  • Aircraft sealant application

  • Preparing and cleaning aircraft components for sealant

  • Applying sealants according to aerospace procedures and specifications

  • Understanding proper aircraft sealing techniques and workmanship standards

Environmental Health & Safety, EHS Instructor

Provide technical safety instruction supporting aerospace operations.

Experience should include one or more of the following:

  • Confined Space

  • Lock Out Tag Tryout, LOTTO

  • Department of Transportation, DOT, requirements

  • Fall Protection

  • Industrial or aerospace environmental health and safety practices

What We Are Looking For

The most successful candidates will bring a strong technical background combined with the ability to teach, demonstrate, explain, and reinforce technical concepts.

Qualified candidates may come from aerospace production, manufacturing, maintenance, military aviation, technical training, learning and development, or corporate training environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on technical background in aerospace, aviation, aircraft manufacturing, aircraft maintenance, EHS, or a related specialty

  • Technical expertise in at least one of the instructor disciplines listed above

  • Ability to instruct and demonstrate technical aerospace concepts to employees with varying levels of experience

  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to stand for extended periods while providing classroom or hands-on instruction

  • Ability to work approximately 40–43 hours per week

  • Ability to travel up to 25%, averaging approximately one week per month to another site

  • Ability to work onsite in Everett, Washington

  • Must be a U.S. citizen in accordance with client requirements

Preferred Background
