In our rapidly expanding Aerospace & Defense business, you’ll join a team grounded in the Regal Rexnord Values, supported by benefits starting day one, and backed by tools and technology that help you excel.

A day in the life

You arrive, review your travelers and blueprints, and load your first job. You’ll set up and run CNC or manual grinders to perform O/D, I/D, boring, and facing on components that become precision mechanical parts used in flight-critical applications. You’ll dial in speeds and feeds, verify your setups, and enter production data into our ERP system. Throughout the shift, you’ll measure, document, and adjust—holding tight tolerances, calibrating preset gauges, and confirming parts against specifications. You may move between two different machines (CNC, manual, ID, OD, centerless, or face) and will occasionally verify work produced by fellow operators. Safety, quality, and a clean, orderly work area are part of every cycle.

What you’ll do

  • Set up, adjust, and operate CNC and/or manual grinding equipment for O/D, I/D, boring, and facing operations.
  • Interpret blueprints, process sheets, tooling instructions, and standard charts; enter production data into the ERP system.
  • Efficiently run at least two different grinding machines within the department (CNC, Manual, ID, OD, Centerless, Face).
  • Use gauges and related measuring tools to verify conformance; set up and verify preset gauges for proper calibration.
  • Inspect your own work, complete required documentation, and inspect the work of other operators as needed.
  • Calculate dimensions, rotation speeds, feed rates, and machining times; operate multiple machines when required.
  • Use hand tools and manual machines as needed; perform other related duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring

  • At least 6 months of hands-on experience setting up and operating precision grinding machines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and work instructions in English.
  • Moderate physical capability: insert tooling, set up work centers, inspect parts, and adjust machines; lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the entire shift.

Pay and benefits

  • Competitive hourly wage: $24.00–$33.00/hr (based on experience/skills) plus $2/hr premium for 2nd & 3rd shift.
  • Matching 401(k) contribution.
  • Medical, Dental, Vision insurance.
  • Short-Term and Long-Term Disability.
  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (Medical & Dependent Care) and Health Savings Accounts.
  • Critical Illness and Accident Insurance, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Educational Reimbursement.

Compensation based on Experience / Skills - $24.00 to $33.00/hr.
