Aerospace CNC Mill/Turn Specialist

Aerospace & Precision Manufacturing | Downers Grove, IL

Step onto a shop floor where the parts you craft help keep aircraft flying. On our second shift, you’ll kick off your evening by loading programs, dialing in offsets, and running a first-article check before moving into steady production. You’ll read detailed blueprints, verify critical dimensions with precision instruments, and keep quality and throughput on target—all within a stable, union environment designed for long-term growth.

The Role & Schedule

• Position: CNC Machinist (2nd Shift)
• Pay: $25.00–$35.00 per hour plus a 10% shift differential
• Overtime: 10–15 hours available weekly

What You’ll Handle

• Set up and run CNC milling and/or turning centers for precision aerospace components
• Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and machining specifications
• Perform tooling changes, set tool lengths, and adjust wear/geometry offsets
• Conduct in-process inspections and document results to meet aerospace standards
• Meet daily quality and production goals while maintaining a clean, safe work area

What You Bring

• Hands-on experience with CNC milling and/or turning
• CNC setup capability preferred (fixturing, tooling, first-piece)
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Background in aerospace or precision manufacturing is a plus
