2nd Shift: 1:00 PM–9:30 PM
3rd Shift: 9:00 PM–5:30 AM
Schedule: Monday–Friday

A Day in This Role

You arrive for your shift, review the traveler and prints, and get your vertical milling center ready. You load tools, confirm offsets, and run a first-article part on a 3- or 4-axis CNC mill. With micrometers and calipers in hand, you verify critical dimensions and make fine adjustments to keep everything on tolerance. Throughout the run, you monitor cutting conditions, tweak feeds and speeds as needed, and document quality checks to meet aerospace standards. Before handing off, you clean and lubricate the machine and leave it production-ready.

What You’ll Handle

• Set up and run 3- and 4-axis vertical CNC milling equipment for precision aerospace parts
• Stage tools, fixtures, and programs for scheduled jobs
• Interpret engineering blueprints and technical instructions with confidence
• Dial in tooling, work offsets, and program parameters to hold tight tolerances
• Continuously monitor part quality and make on-the-fly corrections
• Perform in-process and final inspections against print requirements
• Use micrometers, calipers, and other gauges for precision measurement
• Conduct routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic machine checks
• Deliver consistent results within a structured aerospace production environment

What You’ll Bring

• 3–6 years in a machine shop environment
• Proven vertical CNC milling expertise
• Hands-on experience with CNC setup and operations
• Background working on 3- or 4-axis mills
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
• Skilled with precision instruments: micrometers, calipers, etc.
• Deep understanding of tolerances and dimensional control
• Meticulous attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work independently and follow technical directions
• Aerospace or other high-precision manufacturing experience is a plus
• Availability for 2nd or 3rd shift
