Aerospace Composite PainterJob Overview
We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Composite Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will prepare, prime, and paint composite aerospace components while maintaining strict quality, safety, and production standards. The ideal candidate has experience with spray painting techniques, surface preparation, masking, and inspection of finished products in a manufacturing environment. 3rd shift



Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare composite parts for painting through sanding, cleaning, masking, and surface conditioning.
  • Mix paints, primers, and coatings according to specifications.
  • Apply primers, topcoats, and specialty coatings using spray equipment.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with customer and aerospace quality standards.
  • Perform touch-up work and corrective painting as needed.
  • Maintain paint equipment, spray booths, and work areas.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of respirators and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
  • Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet manufacturing schedules.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S standards.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous industrial, automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing painting experience preferred.
  • Experience operating spray paint equipment and mixing coatings.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and pass required fit testing and medical clearance.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Aerospace, composite, or advanced manufacturing experience is a plus.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience painting composite materials or aerospace components.
  • Knowledge of paint thickness measurement tools and quality inspection processes.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
