Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.About the Role We are seeking experienced Design Engineers (Level III or higher) to join a high-impact aerospace project focused on designing advanced aircraft systems for naval applications. This role involves creating innovative landing gear solutions, structural designs, and integration processes that enhance fuel efficiency and reduce lifecycle costs.Responsibilities Review and refresh designs based on requirements.Perform hydraulic system, avionics, and structural assessments.Conduct structural and weight evaluations.Participate in design reviews and requirements analysis.Explain design responsibilities in proposals and assist with supplier SOWs.Support integration of propulsion and landing gear systems.Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.Proven experience as a Design Engineer (Level III or higher).Structural and weight assessmentsIntegration and propulsion systemsFamiliarity with CATIA (preferably V5) and MATLAB.Preferred Qualifications Experience with supplier SOWs and proposal writing.Background in DoD or civilian aircraft design (rocket design experience acceptable).Prior testing experience.Duration: 6 months with potential extension based on performance.Seniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type ContractJob function Defense and Space ManufacturingSpace Research and Technology#J-18808-Ljbffr
