ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Aerospace Engineer with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following: Be the engineering lead in support of flight control system development; aircraft modeling and simulation; analysis of aircraft flight dynamics; and ground and flight test support. Design, development, integration, and test of aircraft flight control systems and autopilots Develop, integrate, and validate models of aircraft flight dynamics and subsystems such as payloads, engines, transmissions, flight control components, and sensors Support lab, ground, and flight qualification testing of aircraft avionics, sensors, and flight control systems Mentor more junior engineers Qualifications Active or the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance after hiring (requires US Citizenship) Bachelor''s degree in Aerospace Engineering At least 7 years of experience to include development and/or refinement of flight dynamics models; work with flight test data to include flight test support and flight data analysis, and/or familiarity with aircraft performance, aerodynamic design, non-linear system identification, and flight control system design and analysis. Excellent documentation and report writing skills are essential for this position. Knowledge of sound engineering practices that may include such areas as requirement tracking, configuration control, technical communication, and/or the peer review process. Pay Transparency StatementAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $91,600.00/Yr. - USD $153,000.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
