Location: Brooklet, GA

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule: 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM | Monday - Thursday + Friday is needed

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
  • Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
  • Experience in deburring, machining, metal finishing, or manufacturing preferred
  • Aerospace or precision machining experience is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities:

  • Deburr and finish machined metal parts using hand tools, files, grinders, and rotary equipment
  • Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
  • Inspect parts for defects, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy
  • Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring tools
  • Maintain quality standards and report non-conforming materials
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safety compliant
  • Complete production paperwork and support daily production goals

Job Title: Debur Department: Production/Manufacturing Reports To: Manufacturing Manager Job Type: Full-Time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Location: 16274 US Highway 80 East, Brooklet, GA Position Summary The Deburr Technician is responsible for removing burs, sharp edges, and excess material from machined parts to ensure finished components meet required specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. This role involves using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment while following engineering drawings and company procedures. Essential Functions 1. Deburr and Finish Parts o Remove burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections from machined components using hand tools, rotary tools, files, abrasive wheels, and other finishing equipment. o Ensure parts meet quality and dimensional requirements. 2. Interpret Work Instructions o Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job travelers to determine required deburring operations and finishing standards. 3. Inspect Components o Visually inspect parts for defects, burrs, and surface finish issues. o Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and magnification equipment when necessary. 4. Maintain Quality Standards o Follow company quality procedures and ensure all parts meet required specifications before moving to the next operation. o Report non-conforming parts to supervisors or quality personnel. 5. Support Production Goals o Meet productivity targets and deadlines while maintaining high quality standards. o Assist with other production tasks as assigned. Required Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent preferred • Basic mechanical aptitude • Ability to read basic blueprints or technical drawings • Attention to detail and manual dexterity • Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments Preferred Qualifications • Previous experience in deburring, machining, or manufacturing • Experience with aerospace, precision machining, or metal finishing • Familiarity with quality standards and inspection techniques Physical Requirements • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods • Manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools • Ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs occasionally • Good vision (with or without corrective lenses) for detailed inspection Work Environment • Manufacturing or machine shop environment • Exposure to metal chips, dust, noise, and machining fluids • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection
