Pay: $19-$22/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM-12:00 AM

Aerospace Manufacturing Assembler - Must-Have Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Hands-on manufacturing or production experience preferred
  • Experience using small hand tools and shop equipment
  • Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, drawings, and work instructions
  • Basic soldering experience preferred
  • Ability to follow detailed assembly procedures
  • Basic math skills
  • Must pass an FAA-related drug test
  • Must pass a background check
  • Ability to stand and perform repetitive assembly work for extended periods
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 30 lbs.

Aerospace Manufacturing Assembler - Position Summary

The Aerospace Manufacturing Assembler performs hands-on assembly of aerospace components using soldering stations, epoxy applicators, mechanical and hydraulic presses, hand tools, and other shop equipment.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable following detailed work instructions and technical documentation in a quality-focused aerospace manufacturing environment.

Aerospace Manufacturing Assembler - Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assemble aerospace components according to approved work instructions
  • Perform soldering and epoxy adhesion
  • Use soldering stations, epoxy applicators, mechanical presses, hydraulic presses, and basic hand tools
  • Read and follow assembly prints, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions
  • Use various shop tools and equipment safely
  • Document component and consumable traceability on manufacturing orders
  • Verify components and materials are properly documented
  • Identify assembly or documentation issues and communicate them to the Production Supervisor
  • Follow company procedures and quality requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform repetitive assembly operations while maintaining quality standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Aerospace Manufacturing Assembler - Additional Qualifications

  • Previous aerospace, electronics, electromechanical, or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience with small component assembly is a plus
  • Soldering experience preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to interpret written, verbal, diagrammed, and scheduled instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic assembly problems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work the assigned evening shift

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Frequently bend and squat
  • Use hands for detailed assembly, handling, and precision work
  • Reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally lift and move up to 30 lbs.
  • Perform repetitive assembly procedures and techniques
  • Ability to perform close visual work
  • Ability to distinguish colors and maintain depth perception
  • Ability to adjust focus when working with small components

Work Environment

  • Aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Work primarily performed at an assembly bench and around shop equipment
