Role Overview

PrideStaff in Bend, Oregon is recruiting a hands-on leader to run daily manufacturing for a local company in the aviation sector. As the Aerospace Manufacturing Operations Lead, you will orchestrate production so that every product is built safely, delivered on schedule, and meets exacting quality standards.

A Day in the Life

  • Kick off the shift by aligning schedules, staffing, and work centers to customer demand.
  • Walk the shop floor to check workflow, address constraints, and uphold safety and quality.
  • Guide and coach production teams—assign work, set expectations, and monitor performance.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to solve problems and prevent recurrences.
  • Audit output against engineering drawings and work instructions; drive corrective actions as needed.
  • Advance continuous improvement using lean methods to remove waste and improve flow.

Core Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee daily production to meet customer deadlines and company goals.
  • Supervise, train, and support production employees, including assigning work and monitoring performance.
  • Ensure products are manufactured to quality standards, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Lead improvement initiatives across the shop floor to elevate safety, delivery, and quality.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s in manufacturing, operations, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 3–7 years of recent manufacturing experience, including prior supervisory and management responsibility.
  • Background in small or mid-sized manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Detail-oriented leadership, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to balance strategy with day-to-day execution.
  • Proven collaboration with production, quality, engineering, supply chain, and operations teams.
