You arrive to a clean, climate-controlled shop and review travelers and work instructions for the morning’s build. You load tools, dial in workholding, and set offsets on a mix of CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and vertical turning lathes—switching seamlessly between 3-, 4-, and 5-axis work. A quick edit to G and M code optimizes cycle time. Mid-run, you pull parts, verify them with precision gauges, and compare results with CMM data to confirm you’re on-target for aerospace tolerances. You log everything in the ERP, collaborate with Quality on a feature callout, sync with Engineering on a new fixture, and close the shift by deburring, making minor adjustments, and noting improvements for the next lot.
Your impact
Produce precision aerospace components by setting up, operating, and program-editing on CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and VTLs.
Translate blueprints, travelers, and work instructions into high-quality, conforming parts.
Verify quality using precision metrology, interpret CMM reports, and take corrective action when needed.
Handle tooling setup, deburring, troubleshooting, and basic machine adjustments to maintain throughput.
Record production and quality data accurately in the ERP system while adhering to AS9100, NADCAP, and safety protocols.
Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams; contribute ideas that drive continuous improvement.
What you bring
High school diploma or GED; formal CNC training or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
Proven CNC machining background with solid G & M code knowledge.
Fluency in blueprint reading and the use of precision measuring tools.
Comfort with math and basic trigonometry for setups and verification.
Manufacturing experience required; aerospace experience is a plus.
Exposure to Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Okuma controls is advantageous.
Must meet ITAR U.S. Person requirements.
