Aerospace Precision OD/ID Grinding Machinist (CNC & Manual)

Hiring ASAP for 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 2:00 pm–10:00 pm) and 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 10:00 pm–6:00 am)

What a day looks like

You’ll begin by reviewing blueprints, process sheets, tooling instructions, and standard charts to confirm specifications. You’ll enter job data into our ERP system, then set up and dial in two different grinders in your area—CNC and/or manual, handling ID, OD, centerless, and facing operations. Throughout the run, you’ll verify dimensions with gauges and related measuring tools, calibrate preset gauges as needed, compute speeds/feeds/cycle times, and keep a sharp eye on part quality. You’ll document results, inspect your own work (and occasionally a teammate’s), and keep your cell clean, organized, and safe. When the schedule calls for it, you’ll run multiple machines and use hand tools or manual machines to complete the job.

Core responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC and/or manual grinders for OD, ID, face, and boring operations on precision components
• Interpret blueprints and work instructions; maintain accurate entries in the ERP system
• Use gauges and measuring devices to verify conformance; set and verify preset gauges
• Inspect and document your own work; assist with inspection of others’ parts when required
• Determine dimensions, speeds, feeds, and machining times; operate multiple machines as needed
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and quality standards; perform other duties as assigned

What you bring

• 2+ years setting up and operating precision grinding machines
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comfort with shop math and calculations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions in English
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the full shift

Compensation based on Experience/Skills: $23.00–$33.00/hr
