Day in the life
At sunrise in Denver, you step onto the production floor and power up a 3D printer for a first article run. While the build initiates, you assemble a kit from a BOM, double‑checking lot and serial numbers. Before lunch, you verify a set of subassemblies for quality and completeness, document results in the quality system, and hand them off to the next station right on schedule. By afternoon, you’ve turned a queue of parts into organized, traceable kits and wrapped up a high‑volume batch build—leaving the workspace clean, safe, and ready for tomorrow’s launches.
About Urban Sky
Urban Sky is a venture-backed aerospace startup pioneering routine, easy access to the stratosphere. We design, build, operate, and sell stratospheric balloon systems. The data we collect supports applications from real-time wildfire monitoring to urban mapping, and our technology is used by government customers including the Department of War (DoW), NASA, and others. We send flight vehicles to the stratosphere weekly. Our small, supportive team of engineers, makers, developers, and doers values candor, inclusion, respect, and empowerment as we write the next chapter of stratospheric history in Denver and Texas.
