A day in the life

Step onto the production floor with a clear plan. You’ll begin by reviewing MRP Order Action Reports to set the day’s priorities—deciding what to produce now, what to reschedule, and what must be expedited to keep delivery commitments on track. You’ll sync with the Planner/Forecast team to align schedules, then compile Manufacturing Outlines and request part prints so the floor has everything needed to execute.

As the day unfolds, you’ll clear roadblocks by investigating non-action items and partnering with the right departments to resolve missing components. You’ll track material inventory records with care and prepare requisitions to keep supplies flowing. Throughout, you’ll update systems like Syteline and APS, capture accurate documentation and production records, and lend a hand moving materials or finished product when needed. Safety is non‑negotiable—you’ll follow all policies and procedures—and you’ll jump in on additional duties as assigned.
