Talascend is currently seeking an Aerospace Project Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona.OverviewThis role involves overseeing the design, development, and implementation of aerospace projects, requiring technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership capabilities. The position is based in Phoenix, Arizona, with a focus on engine design and aerospace systems.ResponsibilitiesLead project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.Supervise the engineering team in the design and analysis of aerospace systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain, to facilitate project success.Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address technical and project-related challenges.Ensure thorough documentation of project specifications, design changes, and compliance reports.QualificationsBachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or a related field; a master's degree is often preferred.5+ years of experience in engine design, turbofan or fan module design, engine module lead, and aircraft integration or aircraft/propulsion engine certification and testing.Strong program management skills and experience with EVMS, Cost Account Management, Jira/Agile tools, and requirements-based systems engineering.Ability to work independently and lead teams effectively.Experience working with aircraft OEMs and other key stakeholders.Local to the Phoenix, Arizona area or willing to relocate within a very short timeframe.U.S. Citizen required.Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.We thank all applicants for their interest.
