Overview:


Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, performs duties related to Stockroom. Verifies merchandise and organizes its distribution.


 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Unpack, verify condition of material, count & receive incoming materials

  • Maintains control of materials that technicians require to repair units

  • Maintains efficient and accurate stockroom and paperwork operations

  • Attends mechanics with chemicals or parts from the stockroom dispatch

  • Ensure product is kept neat and in an orderly fashion

  • Assist and perform with daily picking, packing and shipments of products.

  • Assist the Shipping & Receiving department as needed

  • Assist other team members in the stockroom when absent by providing help in the Hospital

  • Attends mechanics with chemicals or parts from the stockroom dispatch

  • Check reports for inventory pull-parts on a daily basis

  • Pulling Parts -- Use job tickets to pull the parts from inventory to distribute to the technicians. This would also include returning parts into inventory from technicians if the parts were not ended up needed.

  • Return parts (canab) back to stock

  • Check cycle count daily addressed by Accounting

  • Other duties may be assigned


 


Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Should have basic computer software and keyboarding skills

  • Prior work experience in stockroom helpful but not required

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Quick thinking, multi-tasking skills, and a creative approach to problem solving

  • Positive attitude, self-motivator, organizational skills and good customer service skills

  • Quantum Controls system a plus.





Education Requirements:



  • High School Diploma or GED

Language Skills: Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.



  • Must read and write the English language. Spanish a plus


 


Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.


 


Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • IS regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

  • Works in a warehouse environment with light manufacturing and packaging materials and equipment present.

  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Is occasionally required to lift up to 75 pounds with the help of others.

  • Must properly wear PPE when performing lifting duties.
