At Red Oak, you join a team that cares about working together, being reliable, and making a real difference for our residents every day.DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?This job is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm. You will sometimes need to answer emergency calls, but you will not be on a regular on-call schedule. Every day, you will travel from your home right to your assigned property. There is no need to go to an office before work.Here's what we're looking for in our ideal Affordable Housing Maintenance Technician:Experience in residential maintenance or constructionMechanical and electrical systems knowledgeExcellent customer service skills and professionalismAbility to work with both occupied and vacant unitsWillingness to maintain property inside and outCapability to prioritize work and stay organizedBilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly preferred due to the needs of our diverse client population.Preferred:Basic understanding of fair house rules and regulationsExperience in affordable housingWHAT YOU WILL DO:As an Affordable Housing Maintenance Technician, you will finish repair jobs, help get apartments ready for new tenants, and make sure the property looks good and follows the rules. You will work closely with the property manager to decide what needs to be done first and keep your workspace tidy. Sometimes, you will work with outside vendors who can help with bigger tasks.
