AFP Infrastructure Technician

As an Infrastructure Technician, you will be at the forefront of implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting sophisticated video and access control systems that ensure only authorized personnel gain entry to specific areas or information. Whether you work in a corporate environment, government facility, or healthcare institution, your expertise will be instrumental in fortifying the physical and cyber barriers that protect critical assets.

Education and Licenses

High School Diploma or GED

Obtain and Maintain Department of Labor Occupational License related to Access Control, Video Surveillance and Fire/Life Safety Systems.

Technical Skills and Requirements

• Experience with access control systems and security technologies

• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues

• Strong understanding of networking

• Certifications in video/security systems, updated annually

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to security, including applicable license requirements

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience in training and supporting end-users

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred

• Basic understanding of electrical and electronic principles

• Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to job requirements

• Capability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals

• Valid driver’s license for on-site visits and installations

• Ability to pass a background check and security clearance

• Strong attention to detail

• Physical ability to lift and install heavy equipment

• Good time management and organizational skills

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary
