Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland is a free contemporary art museum for Ohio residents and all youth, located in University Circle and committed to connecting people with art now, in progress. Many Cleveland residents experience poverty-related barriers to arts learning, social connection, civic participation, and wellbeing, including cost, transportation, disability access, limited time, and limited information about free cultural resources. The VISTA Engagement Impact Systems Specialist will strengthen moCa capacity to understand these barriers and build sustainable systems that increase the number of people reached through free and low-cost engagement programs. The member will develop data tools, volunteer recruitment systems, partner tracking workflows, and reporting templates connected to programs such as moCa Saturdays, Lake Valley engagement, accessibility initiatives, creative aging, and community-based partnerships. This is a capacity-building role, not an event staffing role. The VISTA will learn museum engagement, community-centered evaluation, volunteer systems, resource development, and cross-sector partnership practices while creating tools that remain in use after the service year. Member Duties : The VISTA member will conduct a capacity assessment of current engagement, volunteer, partner, and evaluation systems; develop templates for attendance, access barriers, demographics, volunteer roles, partner referrals, and resources leveraged; create a partner database and volunteer recruitment materials; train staff and volunteers to use observation and feedback tools; evaluate pilot systems connected to free engagement programs; and finalize a sustainability toolkit with standard procedures, a reporting calendar, a data dictionary, dashboard guidance, and funder-ready impact summaries. The member will not replace staff or provide routine direct service.
