After School Care Staff

Description

Hampshire Hills Athletic Club is seeking a reliable, energetic, and caring team member to join our FAST After School Care Program serving children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

FAST is dedicated to providing children with a safe, welcoming environment filled with a variety of engaging activities, opportunities for creativity and exploration, and unstructured time to stimulate and challenge both their minds and bodies. Our goal is for every child to leave FAST each day with an enhanced sense of self-worth, confidence, and independence.

• Provide safe, nurturing, and engaging care to school-aged children
• Supervise children and maintain a safe, positive, and welcoming environment
• Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities, games, and experiences
• Encourage creativity, independence, teamwork, and positive social interaction
• Serve as a positive role model for children
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members
• Communicate effectively and professionally with FAST and Hampshire Hills staff
• Follow all safety procedures and program guidelines

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working with children preferred
• A genuine interest in working with and supporting school-aged children
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Safety-minded and attentive
• Self-motivated and able to take initiative
• Patient, positive, and nurturing
• Energetic and enthusiastic
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Schedule is Monday-Friday | 3:00-5:30 PM

We are ideally looking for someone who is available five days per week, but we are happy to consider candidates who are available fewer days.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays are required.
