Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Caregiver

Make a meaningful difference in someone''s life as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Bayada Home Health Care. In this rewarding role, you''ll work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them build independence, participate in their community, and achieve personal goals.

As a DSP, you will support individuals as they engage in community activities, develop life skills, build social connections, and enjoy meaningful experiences that promote independence and inclusion.

No experience required-we provide training!

We''re currently seeking caregivers available for afternoon shifts:

Monday-Friday | 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Build long lasting relationships in a one-on-one setting a few hours a week.

• Spend time on the client's favorite hobbies and activities, like Special Olympics.

• Support clients in developing their independence and achieving their goals (e.g., budgeting, socializing, shopping, using public transportation, exercise)

• Be attentive to meet the individual's needs with dignity and respect.

• Ensure client safety and well-being in the home and community.

• Have fun on Maui as a supportive Buddy!

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Ability to transport clients to community activities

• Passion for supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities

• Patience, empathy and reliability

• Ability to read and write in English
