JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Director of Community Engagement and Enrichment and the after school coordinator, serve as the After-School Musical Theater Instructor for students inTK-5th grade. The Musical Theatre Instructor leads engaging and age-appropriate musical theatre classes for elementary school students in an after-school enrichment program. The instructor introduces students to the fundamentals of musical theatre, including acting, singing, movement, and stage presence, while fostering creativity, confidence, and teamwork. The instructor will also guide students toward a short performance or showcase. The Musical Theatre Instructor is responsible for planning and delivering VAPA aligned theatre lessons during 40-50 minute blocks while maintaining effective classroom management and utilizing best teaching practices. During a typical day, the musical theater Instructor will teach 2-3 classes. The after school day starts at 3:00pm and ends at 6:00pm.

WAGE AND BENEFITS: This is an hourly, school year position with a salary range of $35-$45/hr depending on experience; includes a competitive benefits package.
