Position Information

Monday through Thursday 3:00-5:30, Fridays 1:00-3:30

Pay Grade Salary Hourly Pay Rate $12.00 FLSA Job Summary/Basic Function

Student Supervision

  • Provide direct supervision of students during after-school hours.
  • Ensure student safety through active supervision and adherence to school procedures.
  • Facilitate smooth student check-in and dismissal procedures.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records.

Academic Support

  • Assist students with homework completion.
  • Provide reading support and literacy activities.
  • Facilitate educational games and small-group learning experiences.
  • Encourage positive study habits and executive functioning skills.

Enrichment Programming

  • Plan and facilitate engaging daily enrichment activities including:
  • STEM exploration
  • Arts and crafts
  • Board games
  • Outdoor recreation
  • Physical activity
  • Cooperative games
  • Creative play
  • Modify activities to meet the developmental needs of young learners.

Behavior Support

  • Model positive behavior and respectful communication.
  • Reinforce school-wide expectations.
  • Support students in developing social-emotional skills and problem-solving strategies.
  • Utilize positive behavior supports under the direction of supervising staff.

Program Operation

  • Prepare and distribute daily snacks.
  • Organize program materials and supplies.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment.
  • Assist with inventory and preparation of enrichment materials.
  • Report incidents, injuries, or concerns promptly to the supervising staff member.

Communication

  • Build positive relationships with students and families.
  • Professionally communicate with parents during student pick-up.
  • Collaborate with supervising staff and fellow student workers.
  • Participate in training and staff meetings as required.
