Location: Onsite 5 days week
The After-School Teaching Assistant works collaboratively with the Activities Coordinator and Program Leadership to plan, coordinate, and facilitate daily programming and special events for children, youth, teens, seniors, and families. The position supports the development and implementation of appropriate and individualized academic, vocational & employment referrals, resume, life skills support and summer programming to youth ages 6 to17 living in the 10th and Mission Family Housing.
The After-School Teaching Assistant contributes to a safe, engaging, and supportive environment by encouraging participation, building positive relationships with youth and families, supporting social-emotional development, and assisting with recreational, cultural, holiday, and community-building activities. The position works as part of the broader Youth & Family Services team to ensure programming reflects the Center’s commitment to inclusion, belonging, positive youth development, meaningful intergenerational engagement, and a strong sense of community.
This position will require you to adjust your hours seasonally and for special events.
