Position Summary:
The Site Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the aftercare program at
their assigned school site. This includes overseeing staff and students, ensuring
compliance with Florida child care regulations, maintaining effective communication with
parents and school personnel, and ensuring a safe, engaging, and organized
environment for students.

Leadership & Professionalism
Serve as a role model for staff, students, and families through professional attire,
demeanor, and communication.
Demonstrate leadership by taking initiative and promoting a positive,
solution-oriented team culture.
Communicate effectively and respectfully with all stakeholders.
Program Operations & Organization
Arrive on-site on time and fully prepared to operate the program.
Implement and follow a consistent daily schedule and routines.
Ensure all materials and supplies are readily available and well organized.
Manage transitions between activities smoothly to minimize student downtime.
Staff Management & Supervision
Clearly communicate roles, expectations, and responsibilities to staff.
Supervise staff performance and provide constructive feedback and support.
Delegate tasks appropriately to ensure efficient program operation.
Assist staff with behavior management and curriculum implementation.
Student Engagement & Safety
Promote positive interactions and maintain a respectful, inclusive environment.
Ensure students are actively engaged in age-appropriate and enriching activities.
Monitor and maintain proper student-to-staff ratios at all times.
Follow all safety, emergency, and health protocols consistently.
Parent Communication
Professionally greet and interact with parents/guardians during arrival and
dismissal.
Respond promptly and appropriately to parent questions or concerns.
Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and parent
communications.
Share updates with families and encourage involvement in program activities.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure the program complies with all Florida Department of Children and
Families (DCF) childcare regulations.
Ensure the program complies with all Broward Before and After School Child
Care (BASCC) department and school district policies
Protect confidentiality and handle sensitive information securely.
Complete and submit all required documentation, reports, and logs in a timely
manner.
Monitor and ensure staff training and certifications remain current.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years old
Minimum of 2 years experience in childcare, education, or youth program
leadership.
Completion of 40 hour child care training.
Knowledge of Florida child care licensing standards.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
CPR/First Aid certified.
Must pass a background check and complete all required training courses.
