Aftermarket Design Engineer

What You'll Do:

• Get hands-on with reverse engineering to support our aftermarket parts business.
• Use your skills with tools like calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to capture precise measurements.
• Create detailed 3D models and drawings for parts and assemblies.
• Design retrofit solutions that boost performance, safety, and reliability.
• Travel (about 30% of the time) to customer sites to evaluate equipment and support installations.
• Collaborate with service teams to diagnose and solve field issues.
• Provide technical insights for sales opportunities and customer proposals.
• Keep all your designs cost-effective and aligned with industry standards.
• Document everything meticulously—measurements, design changes, and more.
• Help develop standard kits and upgrade packages.
• Spot opportunities for improving existing equipment designs.

What You'll Bring:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Your Background:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor's preferred).
• 2+ years of experience with design software like AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with welding, machining, and grinding processes.
• Understanding of CNC lathe and machining concepts.
