Afternoon Babysitter for Elementary Age Child

We are seeking a responsible and engaging part-time babysitter for our 8-year-old son in NE Capitol Hill, Washington, DC. The position involves approximately 12-15 hours per week, primarily focused on after-school care. Responsibilities include picking him up from Mundo Verde Cook Campus in Shaw at 3:30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and at 1:00 pm on Wednesdays. We are flexible with transportation methods, including car, public transit, or our electric cargo bike. After pickup, you will engage with our son through homework, reading, sports, and outdoor activities until we return from work around 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Additional hours may be available if desired, with the potential for evening or weekend shifts upon agreement. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience, an interest in children's education and activities, and a friendly, nurturing demeanor. Pay is $20+/hour, based on experience.
