POSITION: Afternoon Custodian

REPORTS TO: Director of Facilities and Operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous custodial experience
• Ability to perform heavy lifting
• Ability to work on your feet for length of shift
• Exhibit a positive attitude and pride in the work assignment
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions and develop a working knowledge of appropriate cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
• Flexibility to work on an on-call basis
• Ability to get along with students, other employees, and community members

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cleaning and maintenance of buildings
• Lifting (i.e., desks, paper/book supplies, deliveries)
• Establish and maintain a team atmosphere with custodial staff
• Maintain positive relationships with staff and students
• Maintain custodial equipment
• Set and tear down for events
• Any other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities and Operations

SALARY: Per bargaining agreement

• Comprehensive retirement and insurance benefits packages (or $5,000 cash in lieu of health insurance)

• Annual paid time off, as follows:

• 12 Combined Sick and Personal Days

• 10 Vacation Days (allocation increases with duration of employment)

• 15 Paid Holidays

• Bi-annual Attendance Bonus up to $250

• Longevity pay, once eligible

• $500 Cell Phone Stipend

• $350 Clothing Allowance

• Early Notification and Early Retirement Incentives, if qualified

• Sick bank payout available up to $10,000 upon retirement, if qualified
