The Primrose School of Berkeley Heights is a private preschool that provides a premier educational childcare experience, offering year-round programs for Infants through Kindergarten. We are seeking an afternoon Receptionist to support overall school operations. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, from 12:00 pm-6:00 pm.

Primary Responsibilities

• Greet every family, child, and staff member in a positive and welcoming manner
• Answer phones in a professional and courteous manner
• Data entry involving confidential child and family information
• Supports the Leadership Team in helping schedule appointments and reaching out to prospective families
• Assists in daily class functions of a group of children upon request and business needs, such as covering classroom breaks when needed
• Assists in the kitchen and food service program
• Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Berkeley Heights and the local, state, or national regulatory agencies in the health, safety, and care of children
• Assists in other capacities that the Director, or designee, determines are necessary

Desired Skills & Experience

• Must meet basic requirements of child care regulatory agency
• Previous office experience required
• Previous experience working with children preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situation

Compensation: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
