Afternoon Support Staff / Floater

Location: The Learning Experience

Pay: $18-$21 per hour

Schedule: Part-Time, Monday-Friday

Shift Options: 2:30 PM - 6:00 PM or 3:00/4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Afternoon Support Staff - Classroom Floater

The Learning Experience is seeking a dependable Afternoon Support Staff / Floater to assist classrooms during afternoon routines and end-of-day transitions. This role supports multiple classrooms while helping maintain a safe, organized, and positive environment for children and families during pickup hours.

This position is ideal for someone looking for a flexible afternoon schedule in a collaborative childcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support classrooms serving infants through preschool-aged children
• Assist with afternoon activities, playground supervision, and classroom transitions
• Provide ratio coverage across classrooms as needed
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment
• Support teachers with classroom cleanup and end-of-day preparation
• Communicate professionally with families and teaching team members
• Follow all state licensing and safety requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Prior childcare experience preferred
• Comfortable supporting multiple age groups
• Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented approach
• Must meet state childcare licensing requirements
