SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The Receptionist serves a critical role as the first point of contact for all students, staff, and visitors to Summit Academy OIC. This person is responsible for greeting all students, staff, and visitors (prospective students, donors, government representatives, and others); answering all incoming calls; and performing administrative duties to support the Enrollment Team.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is a largely sedentary position that requires the ability to remain stationary for extended periods. Extensive use of computer, keyboard, and mouse. Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone, to enter data into a computer; to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at conversational levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; physical agility to lift up to 10 pounds to waist height; and to bend, stoop, walk and reach overhead.
The person in this position frequently communicates with students who have inquiries about Summit Academy OIC and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
POSITION TYPE & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a part-time, non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). It is eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in one workweek. Expected hours of the position are Monday through Friday, 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm (Approximately 22.5 hours per week). Occasional mornings, nights, and weekends may be required to meet the expectations of the job.
