Schedule: Afternoon Shift, Monday-Friday

Afternoon Teacher - Classroom Support Role

The Learning Experience - Gainesville is seeking a dependable Afternoon Teacher to support classrooms during afternoon routines, enrichment activities, and end-of-day transitions. This role helps create a safe, engaging, and organized environment for children and families during pickup hours.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with multiple age groups in a collaborative early childhood setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support classrooms serving infants through preschool-aged children
• Assist with afternoon activities, playground supervision, and classroom transitions
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Provide ratio coverage across classrooms as needed
• Support teachers with classroom cleanup and end-of-day preparation
• Communicate professionally with families during pickup times
• Follow Virginia childcare licensing and safety requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Prior childcare experience preferred
• Comfortable supporting multiple age groups
• Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented approach
• Must meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements
