The VISTA will build capacity by developing Agassiz Village's volunteer engagement systems, strengthening partnerships with corporate groups, civic organizations, and local colleges, and creating sustainable processes for recruiting, training, and stewarding volunteers. They will coordinate volunteer events, support in-kind donation drives, and enhance internal communication tools that connect staff, partners, and community members. The VISTA will alleviate poverty by expanding the volunteer and resource network that makes it possible for hundreds of low-income youths to access safe, high-quality summer and year-round programs at no or reduced cost. Their work will increase organizational efficiency, deepen community support, and ensure more children facing economic hardship can experience the transformative opportunities Agassiz Village provides.
