Knife River is currently accepting applications for a Mechanic. This is a great opportunity for the individual that enjoys learning and multi-tasking. We are seeking applicants for our shop and field services. The Mechanic is responsible for assisting with maintenance and repairs to construction equipment and crusher equipment.
This is a full-time position that will require occasional overtime and weekend work.
Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Crusher Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience repairing and maintaining crushers and related equipment.
Responsibilities: • Inspect and diagnose problems with crushers and related equipment • Repair and replace worn or broken parts as needed • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is running efficiently • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and minimize downtime • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
Minimum Qualifications
Requirements: • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Crusher Mechanic, we are willing to train the right person. • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements
Requires walking, bending, squatting, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree. Heavy work-exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires the use of hands for grasping and fine manipulations. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. Head movement, rotation, moving head in any direction up, down, side to side. Requires climbing in and out of Ready-Mix and Flatbed Trucks multiple times a day.
Wear company issued Personal Protective Equipment. Exposure to dust fumes and gases. Exposure to outside working conditions to cold or hot temperatures.
