Aggregates Superintendent Location - Front Range Colorado

POSITION SUMMARY This position will manage the production of construction aggregate at Company operated sand and gravel pits. The gravel pits are typically operated on a seasonal or project demand basis and travel between different pit locations will be required. The position will manage production inventory stockpile mining and reclamation activities at each assigned pit. Position shall manage mine-pit crews safely and coordinate the daily activities at each pit.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Must be safety focused. Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned aggregate pits including crushing, screening, mining, and reclamation operations. Must be able to manage multiple locations and multiple crews effectively. Highly proficient at setting up, operating, and moving aggregate processing equipment as well as ensuring pit operations are efficient and well-laid out. Must be able to communicate effectively, verbal, listening, written, with senior management and hourly field personnel. Self-motivated team-player with good interpersonal skills, positive attitude, ability to teach, coach reports, and conduct themselves at all times in a courteous and respectful manner. Troubleshoot and problem-solve situations, problems, material quality, equipment operation, repair, etc. Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and senior management. Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, Lockout-Tagout safety and environmental regulations compliance. Coordinate with other needs of the Company. Performs other duties as assigned.

This position will work primarily within 100 miles of the assigned office.

EDUCATION SKILLS ABILITIES Sufficient education to make appropriate arithmetic equations and complete written documentation and records or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills, and ability. Computer skills - Basic computer skills required. Must be able to communicate effectively using both written and spoken forms of communication. Must be willing to work any assigned shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis and be at least 18 years of age. Must have high safety standards for self and others. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.

EXPERIENCE 3 to 5 years of proven aggregate operations experience and leadership-supervisory experience is highly preferred. Degree in a mining or construction-related field is preferred.

LICENSES A valid state drivers license

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and/or pulling, climbing, and balancing frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling, and significant finger dexterity necessary, 75 pounds. This position is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels. Frequently climbs ladders and stairs. Work Environment - Work performed in an office, construction site, and mining-process plant environment. Exposure to inclement weather. Appropriate PPE for conditions must be worn.

Amount of Travel Required: 10-30% PAY: $100,000 - $120,000 a year
